By accessing or using MDConvert ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MDConvert is a free, client-side web application that converts files from various formats (HTML, DOCX, PDF, images, CSV, source code) into Markdown. All processing occurs locally in your browser. The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
  • Not upload or process files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the Service.
  • Not use the Service to infringe upon others' intellectual property rights.

4. Intellectual Property

The MDConvert name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property. The underlying open-source libraries used by this service are governed by their respective licenses. The output Markdown generated by the Service belongs to you — we claim no ownership over converted content.

5. No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONVERSION RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

6. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL MDConvert, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. Third-Party Advertising

The Service may display advertisements via Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party advertisers. Interaction with advertisements is solely between you and the advertiser.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
